Camps
Massialas Foundation at Halberstadt Fencing Camps are geared to competitive Youth, Cadet, Jr. & Div I foil fencers. All fencers are challenged to do their best, and are treated equally. This is our 13th year of offering fencing camps, and many nationally ranked and International fencers have benefited from these camps. The intensity of fencing is always at a very high level for each age group: Y10 to elite Division I. This year, as in previous years, participants include several National Champions in multiple age groups, USA National Team members, including several World Champions. Typically most of the top ranked Cadet, Jr., and Div I Men’s foil fencers on the West Coast participate in our camps. We limit enrolment to keep a high level of fencing, and supervision. Please register early, as all of our camps have been full in the past 5 years. Home stay is available for out of town fencers on a limited, and first come basis.
Pre-Nationals Fencing Camp I (June 20-24)
This is part of our nationally acclaimed intensive pre-nationals foil preparation for Youth, Cadet, Jr. & Div I fencers. Fencers will follow our unique and successful program that challenges each fencer with the goal of the best preparation for the summer nationals. Our coaching staff works with each fencer to achieve best results.
Camp hours: Mon/Wed 1:30-6:30pm, Tue/Thu 12:00-6:00pm), Fri 4:00-8:00pm.
Pre-Nationals Fencing Camp II (June 25-29)
This is part of our nationally acclaimed intensive pre-nationals foil preparation for Youth, Cadet, Jr. & Div I fencers. Fencers will follow our unique and successful program that challenges each fencer with the goal of the best preparation for the summer nationals. Our coaching staff works with each fencer to achieve best results.
Camp hours: Sat 3:00-6:30pm, Sun 2:00-5:00pm, Mon/Wed 1:30-6:30pm, Tue 12:00-6:00pm (4:00-6:00pm at park). There will also be an extra workout on Friday, July 1st from 5:30-7:30pm.
Back to Season Fencing Camp (August 15-20)
This camp is designed to get everyone back into shape for the start of next competition foil season for Y10/1214, Cadet, Jr. and Div I, plus preparing National Team members who will be getting ready for the World Championships.
Camp hours: Mon/Wed 1:30-6:30pm, Tue/Thu 12:30-6:00pm (4:00-6:00pm at park), Fri 4:00-8:00pm, Sat 3:00-6:00pm
General Information:
Camps are under the direction of Maestro Greg Massialas. Our summer camps will be held in our San Francisco training location with 11 full length electric fencing strips: HFC, 621 South Van Ness ave. / 17th st., San Francisco, CA
