This was the largest and strongest M Team going to the Nationals: 38 fencers, 3 coaches, several assistants, and many family & friends. We are proud how the whole M Team community worked well together and supported all our fencers. There were several challenging days for the coaches (8am- midnight), and I am happy to say we all survived. Actually, the pre- national camp helped build up our coaches' stamina for the nationals as much as it prepared our fencers. Overall, the M Team had great results: 3 National Champions, a total of 10 medals, many fencers earned National Points, and M Team fencers had many great experiences. As always, some tears were shed, there were several upsets, and that is the nature of sport. The key is to look for personal growth, development, and consistency for long-term success. The coaching staff is very pleased with the effort that everyone put forward at the Nationals. Congratulations M Team!
