San Francisco RYC - 2007 Golden Gate Games
Kezar Pavilion, Golden Gate Park, SF
November 3-4
Welcome to the 9th edition of the Golden Gate Games hosted by the Massialas
Foundation. Since this youth competition is the first big event for many
families, we try to make it family friendly and a positive experience for
the whole fencing community.
As in all previous Golden Gate Games, there will be medals for all 8
finalists, nice trophies for the top 4, and a nice sword for the champion
in each event. Our famous Chinese lunch plate is always a big hit. Remember
to order as many meals as necessary for fencers, parents, siblings, and
friends, because the meals are only available with the entry form. T-shirts
are also only available by the entry form.
This event has grown in size and stature since the 1st edition of the
Golden Gate Games in 2002, when San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown "thrust
fencing into the future." Good luck to everyone and we hope that you enjoy
your fencing experience in San Francisco.
